Reykjavik, Iceland – October 12, 2013 – Vitus Energy CEO Mark Smith was invited to speak at the inaugural meeting of the Arctic Circle along with representatives of 40 other countries with Arctic interests. Mr. Smith spoke on the subject of Ports and Infrastructure and the critical role they play in enhancing economic advancement on the local level. Also while in Iceland, Mr. Smith was on a panel for the 2013 ARCTIC ENERGY SUMMIT regarding Transportation and Logistics in the Delivery of Arctic Energy. “As an operator in the Arctic and a former Mayor of a Western Alaska village, it is critical to align development with local concern for both environmental security and economic advancement, ” said Smith.
