Daesan, South Korea – August 11, 2013 – Over the last two years, Vitus Marine has imported 10 cargos to Alaska typically on ships ranging in size from 45,000bbls to 90,000bbls. This month Vitus added the medium range tank ship RIMAR, which has a capacity of 314,000bbls (13.2M gallons), to the chartered fleet. By using larger ships, Vitus works to further lower the transportation cost to Alaskan fuel markets.
